Class Dates: 10/16/2017 - 1/24/18
M + W 6pm-10pm
Our EMR course is designed to provide the fundamental introduction into emergency response and management of the medical patient. EMR practitioners meet the minimum requirements to staff an ambulance and first respond to medical calls in their community. Shorter than the EMT class, the EMR class is a good first step for those with little or no experience in EMS but have a desire to learn and serve their communities.

"Emergency Medical Responders provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive. EMRs also provide assistance to higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies and during transport. Emergency Medical Responders are a vital part of the comprehensive EMS response. Under medical oversight, Emergency Medical Responders perform basic interventions with minimal equipment." -NREMT
